Dubai Sharks History

Dubai Sharks RFC was founded in 2006 as a senior men’s team playing in the UAE Rugby Conference as a UAERF affiliated rugby club. 

Dubai Sharks RFC was born of the Arabian Potbellies and has since adopted the Dubai Frogs, these teams remain as key parts of the Dubai Sharks RFC, the Arabian Potbellies being the veterans/touring team identity and the Frogs being a tournament team identity.

Dubai Sharks started a women’s rugby team in 2015 which participates in the GCC 7s tournament, Dubai 7s and 15s a side tournament.

Warriors sports club which consists of a mini and Juniors section also came under the Dubai Sharks RFC umbrella in 2016

Based in Sports City, Dubai, The Dubai Sharks RFC are the regions leading social rugby club, welcoming players at all levels.

Since its inception, the Sharks have grown to almost 500 active players that includes 1st XV, 2nd XV, 3rd XV, International Vets,Women’s, Mini & Juniors and strong social non-player support!
