WHO WE ARE

The Dubai Sharks RFC was originally founded in 2006 under the name of Arabian Potbellies RFC as a senior men’s team, playing in the UAE Rugby Conference as a UAERF affiliated Rugby Club. Over the years, the Sharks have seen almost 600 active players pass through the Club, playing across Men’s 1st XV, Men’s 2nd XV, Men’s 3rd XV, International Vets (Bali Legends), Under 19s Boys and a Ladies' Sevens teams!

As our motto clearly describes, we are serious about rugby, seriously social and yes, everyone looks better in Sharks blue!

Our History

A little bit about how we got to where we are now:

• Founded by members of the Hong Kong Potbellies
• Arabian Potbellies RFC formed in UAE in October 2006
• Elected Full Member of the AGRFU in 2008
• Elected Full Member of the AGRFU in 2008
• Elected Full Member of UAERF in 2009
• The Club rebranded as Dubai Sharks RFC in 2011
• Dubai Sharks RFC merged with Dubai Frogs in March 2012
• The first Dubai Sharks RFC Ladies team launched in 2015
• The Warriors; mini and junior, joined Dubai Sharks RFC for 2016
